Our mission is to educate and support individuals in the community to achieve and maintain optimal physical health through safe and effective therapy.
Our practices at The Wellness Team are underpinned by three fundamental principles:
Professional & Friendly Staff
The Wellness Team started as Physiotherapy Associates in Carseldine central in 2012, providing physiotherapy to the community. As we have grown, we have moved to a larger, purpose built facility in Aspley with a full gym fit out and offering other allied health services.
We have recently renamed our clinic to The Wellness Team, reflecting the evolution of our services to encompass wellbeing and exercise.
Enjoy great health for life with your local healthcare experts. The Wellness Team provides a broad range of healthcare services that are practical, proven, and easily applied to your lifestyle.
Thanks to the great support of the northside community, we grew into a busy health hub for the community. Servicing Aspley, Carseldine, Bridgeman Downs, Fitzgibbon, Geebung, Chermside. Needs within the area have prompted us to establish a wide range of health related services.
We are very proud of the level of service, care and professionalism that we provide to local residents.
We have built the clinic on the dedication of our staff, the loyalty of our clients and the suggestions for improvement of both of these groups of people. If you believe any improvements can be made, please feel free to formally (in writing) or informally (in conversation) make those suggestions to staff.
If you are not convinced your practitioner has done their best during your consultation, we will refund the appointment fee you have paid. In addition to that, your next session will be free of charge to you.
At The Wellness Team, we stand behind our promise to offer you exceptional healthcare. If you are not happy with the service we provide, please inform us so we can do our utmost to address any problems.
All you have to do is let us know what you are not happy about on the day of that appointment and we will refund your fee. We also offer you a second session for free to allow us to meet your needs with no risk to you.
Meet Our Team
Kylie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the Australian Catholic University in 2017 after originally commencing her Physiotherapy studies in Albury at Charles Sturt University in 2013.
Kylie has a keen interest in rehabilitating athletes after dancing herself for 18 years and working with Brisbane Hockey teams whilst studying at University. She has a keen interest in Women’s health and pre/post natal physiotherapy after completing a 5 week placement at Caboolture Hospital during her final year of Physiotherapy. Kylie also enjoys treating paediatric cases after completing another 5 week placement in the neurosciences department at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital. She enjoys treating a range of musculoskeletal areas including lower back pain, upper limb injuries, lower limb injuries along with orthopaedic cases. She prefers a hands on approach with manual therapy and exercise prescription.
During her spare time Kylie enjoys keeping healthy by going to the gym and taking pilates classes. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
Calum was born into an athletics/health family so he always had an interest in training and rehabilitation.
Calum has a keen interest in rehabilitating injuries, whether sporting; a sprained ankle, a dislocated shoulder or a muscular imbalance created by years of lifting weights, or work related; shoulder pain from overhead lifting or back tightness from sitting too long at a desk.
He prefers using hands on techniques so he can accurately identify the issues and treat in a way which generates the best results. When appropriate he likes to use his training experience from running and weights to facilitate your recovery.
As well as working with athletes Calum has also worked with a major Australian airline preforming injury screens/manual handling and rehabilitating their staff. Workplace injuries while different from sporting injuries often share some common similarities.
He finds when issues are addressed correctly, they can often be maintained through specific exercises and simple adaptions to everyday life.
